FAMILY SOUNDPLAY and VOICE-PAINTING - workshop for parents with children

led by Tomáš Dvořák (Floex), Markéta Lisá, Jana Matulová and Ridina Ahmedová

Sunday 21st October

During the hour and a half long workshop, for parents with children aged from 5 years up, participants become the co-authors of unique musical compositions. Tomáš Dvořák (Floex), Markéta Lisá, Jana Matulová and Ridina Ahmedová will be on hand to assist you. It doesn€™t matter how much you think you can do - the sounds of your voices and musical instruments (some will be at the workshop or you can bring our own) will be recorded and electronically modified to make a composition that will be saved on a CD. The workshop will have 4 blocks with 2 families taking part in each block - you can register as one family (1 parent + 1 - 3 children), or for double the fee if you have a larger family unit (2 parents, 3 and more children).

It is assumed that parents will take part with their children! The aim is to create the composition together.

The workshop will take place on Sunday 21 October in the Communications Centre at Školská 28, Prague 1. The price is CZK 650 per family. Times: 9.30 - 11, 11.30 - 13, 14.30 - 16 and 16.30 - 18. Applications can be downloaded HERE.

Tomáš Dvořák aka Floex

Clarinetist, composer and multimedia artist. Awareness of his music was mainly due to the debut record Pocustone (2001), which combined musical styles that were relatively isolated at the time such as nu-jazz, electronic music and contemporary classical music. Pocustone was very positively received by the critics and not just in the Czech Republic (the Anděl Prize for 2001). Tomáš is also known for his cooperation with Amanita Design - he created the soundtracks for the computer games Samorost II (2006) and Machinarium (2009). Ten years after his debut record, Floex brought out a new album, Zorya, in 2011 which went on to win various categories in the Anděl awards. www.floex.cz
