Zuzana VLČINSKÁ (CZ)

Mgr. Zuzana Vlčinská studied musicology at the School of Philosophy of the Charles University in Prague. She took a two-year course in Orff Schulwerk with Pavel Janovič and attended numerous courses and seminars in music therapy. She has been working with the singing public for over 10 years. She arranges Slavic folks songs, mostly from the Moravian region. She approaches folk songs as living messages or situations.

Even though the simplicity of her arrangements makes them accessible to beginner singers, they are also popular among and esteemed by music professionals. In 2005, she published a songbook with a CD entitled Listen with Joy containing polyphonic arrangements of little-known Christmas carols.
