This year´s topic is SPOKEN VOICE - SINGING VOICE.

The conference concentrates on interesting and profound information from the field of singing. Our lecturers are experts in the field and therefore attract a wide range of people.

FROM HAND-AXE TO BELL CANTO AND BACK AGAIN - Mudr. Martin Kučera Cultural and historical insight into the perception and use of voice in Europe from the beginning of the history to the end of the second half of 20th century.

The author is a phoniatrist and othorinolaryngologist who sees human voice in the context of human history.

I WILL BE PLAYING AND SINGING IN FRONT OF THE ANGELS: SINGING AS A MEANS OF COMMUNICATION WITH GOD - Martin Hlouch We know that singing plays an important role in mass and prayer, and we have to ask why „religious dialogue" goes in the form of singing, different from ordinary communication.

The author is currently studying history and theology at Charles University.

SINGING AND SPEAKING AS TWO MEANS OF VOICE EXPRESSION - Mgr. Pavla Sovová PhD

Speaking and singing are perceived as two distinct functions of voice. This perception is justified

however, the disadvantage of this perception is that the development of voice is seen separately. The author will attempt to define not only the differences but also the intersecting aspects of the two forms of voice.

The author works at the Department of Pedagogy of University of West Bohemia and deals with personal and social development and voice and speech coaching of future teachers.

SINGING VOICE, SPEAKING VOICE - Mgr. Ivana Vostárková This contribution will deal with connections between these two forms of human expression, what they have in common and how they differ and how today´s civilisation influences them.

The author works with voice in the artistic sphere as well as in therapy, currently she leads vocal and speech training seminars at AMU Theatre Faculty in Prague.

LET'S LEARN TO UNDERSTAND OURSELVES - Paedr. Alena Tichá Ph.D In every situation the human organism works in psychosomatic unity - mentality influences the body and vice versa. The lecture will decribe methods of "deciphering the messages€

through which our body lets us know the state of our mind.

The author teaches singing and theory of music coaching for student-teachers at Faculty of Pedagogy of Charles University in Prague, she deals with the methodology of voice coaching and other topics connected with voice.
