PhDr. Daniela VODÁČKOVÁ

I'm a psychotherapist with a psychological education and twenty two years of practice. My focus is integrative. I combine depth psychology with psycho-therapeutic techniques (relaxation, imagination, hypnosis, modification of art therapy techniques and techniques focussing on working with the body). I have many years of experience in crisis and trauma work.

I also actively sing, my main interest is authentic interpretations of old music. I sing in two ensembles. Ensemble Guillaume (of which I am a co-founder) is geared to the music of the Baroque period. The four-member Quadrifolium (four-leaf clover) concentrates on older music from the ars nova, and early Renaissance period (Guillaume de Machaut, Josquin Deprez, Johannes Ockeghem, Walter Frye, Pierre de la Rue, Joachin Anchieta, etc.). For our deliberations on about old music, it is important and essential to draw upon original sources and sing from original notation.

The genesis of my work with musicians relates to combining both paths, the interpretative and therapeutic. Gradually I reached my objectives, to work individually or as a group with musicians in such a way that they consciously use the body as a musical instrument, and, thanks to working on themselves, can gradually remove blocks such as anxiety, fear, counterproductive expectations and pain, which, due to their personal life history, have restricted confidence and the free flow of musical energy.
