ALENA DITTRICHOVA (CZ)

I like wind, fire, drizzling rain, sun and dreams that come true.


 

Since 1992 she studied dance in Dance Centre of Charles University, at the Conservatory of Jaroslav Ježek and at the Duncan Centre Conservatory.
Completed courses: M.A.P.A. Holland, - and Centre Choreographique National in Nantes, France;
Participated in workshops: with French and African dancers in Burkina Faso etc.
Since 2007 she studied JAMU (Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno), department of Clown, scenic and film production.
In 2008 she transferred to ESD - Escola superior de danca in Portugal, where she is studying now.
She creates author performances which oscillate between dance and theatre expression.
Her prime debut as a dance designer/producer was the performance SEKRET in 2003 which was nominated for the Sazka and Theatre Newspaper Award in the category of Dance and ballet.

From 2004 to the present she has been teaching, too. In 2004-2008 she worked as a Special Assistant to Ctibor Turba. Since 2005 she has also been lecturing children´s dance courses. In 2007 she cooperated with Lenka Tretiagová in Ponec Theatre creating children´s dancing fairytales.

As a dancer and performer she cooperates with Czech and foreign artists, such as Claude Brumachon, Serge Ambert, Pierre Nadaud, Ctibor Turba and others.
She also takes part in theatre improvisations cooperating with musicians, such as Irena and Vojtěch Havel, and with dancers such as Jiří LÅ‘ssl, - and Ondřej Lipovský among others.
