Andrea Encinas comes from Trianidad, the island state in the Caribbean Sea, the former British colony. She grew up in the musical family and as she says the music was her second language. Later she relegated this experience and love to her children – all of them are professional musicians or singers today.
Andrea has been involved in performing arts initially as a dancer since age 5 becoming a principal dancer at one of Trinidad's leading dance companies before coming to the UK to study nursing at 18. Since then she asserts professionally all her musical talent.
Andrea Encinas is one of the founding members of London Community Gospel Choir www.lcgc.org.uk and currently Arts Director of British Gospel Arts www.britishgospelarts.com which was established by Andrea under the LCGC banner in 1999 to promote and develop gospel music through education, performance, employment and research. She brings to Prague over 30 years of gospel choir singing and teaching.
